Tsukiko Amano, affectionately known as "tsukko" (つっこ) by her fans, is a Japanese rock/pop musician. She is most well known for singing the theme songs for the Fatal Frame video game series. She has been interested in music since the age of five, when she began taking piano lessons. In junior high, she joined her school's Chorus Club and in high school she bought her first guitar and began to experiment with music. As her skills improved she began to play gigs in local clubs & bars in order to express her talents. She also joined a band, though they did not last long and broke up quickly. Tsukiko made her indies debut with the single, "Hakoniwa", in 2001. In November of the same year, she made her major debut with the hit single, "Bodaiju". She then pursued a peerless existence with her unique perception and expression. In 2006, her 5th anniversary since her debut, she released five singles simultaneously (a first for any artist to date).
Tsukiko writes all of her own songs & designs her own costumes for her music videos. She also loves to draw and has published a comic on Otokura.com's (her label) website and has published a storybook. Her artwork can be found on her singles, albums, and promotional posters. Her artistic talent has spread to multiple areas, including creating goods with collaboration from fashion brands and toy manufacturers, as well as having concert activities and music. In 2008, Tsukiko announced that she would be retiring from her solo career after the release of her album, ZERO; however, she will still continue to write songs for other artists (9nine & Earthshaker) and to be active in her other projects, A Lunch & Himitsu Circle Tiger Machine.
